FAST FACTS

RULES EXPANDED ON
G E N E R A L

• NO HUMAN CONTACT OF ANY SORT. EVER. PAST, PRESENT or FUTURE. We ask that NO character have any human association at all; ever. This is a wild horse role-play and we don’t want humans associated in the character past or personality.
  
  
• Okay beacuse this is a controversay on many sites no horse can exceed 17.3hh on AE reguardless of breed.
  
  
• Please keep your horse's height close to the Origional breed standard, what i mean is not 16hh Arabians(14-15.3 is okay) or 17.3hh Quarter Horses(14-15.3 is okay). One or two hands over dosent matter e.i a 16.1hh QH.
  
  
• Swear words are allowed, but their use should be moderate.
  
  
• No fights in OOC.

• Avatars can be what ever you like as long as they aren't disgusting{as in no rotting corpses or things of that nature}.
  
  

GODMODEING / POWER PLAYING
IS NOT ALLOWED IN: Battles, Steals, Wars, Challenges

• Technically this is an 'in character' topic but its going here because well i say so. God Moding is when player A writes a post that dictates the actions of player B's character. This is not allowed, and not something i would suggest just anyone doing. You may however see Lanah and myself god-moding each others characters because we deeply trust the other and have been role-playing together for a VERY long time. When you allow a player to god mod your character you need to have absolute trust in them. Generally god moding is a HUGE no-no and banned everywhere it is banned on Edo in Battles, Steals, Wars, Challenges & for players who don’t have special Admin permission to do this.

The List

• Myself (Avy) and Lanah will keep a list in the staff board of members who are allowed to god mod each other because they have ASKED for it. I don’t recommend any two people asking for this privilege unless you are what is consider in the rp world as 'partners' or 'a pairing'. Lanah and myself have complete say over who is granted this right no other staff members can say other wise, keep in mind that once you agree to let that ONE other person god mod your character we can do nothing if they do something you don’t like. This is why we will only grant this privilege to people who we know are a pairing and to who we feel can handle the responsibility.

How do you obtain permission?

• Well right now with it being the very beginning of the Game there wont be any one going on that list of exceptions. However once things get going both players will have to PM both Avy and Lanah requesting permission and Lanah and myself will discuss the possibility of granting this power to you both.

OPEN MINDED POLICY

• AE was designed to have an open minded policy forum, this is however to say that we don’t want porn or extreme violence on this site. Its a horse rpg after all and there are rpgs designed for that this is however not one of them.
  
  If another player has an issues with a different characters 'lifestyle' choice then ill ask the person with a problem to turn the other cheek because that person has a right to have there character believe and live however they want it to.

S T A L L I O N S

• Can force claim but please, don't force every mare you see into your herd or that privilege will be stripped for the abusing individual. If another stallion arives before the mare is force claimed then its the mares choice who she goes with.
  
  
• Stallions mature at age 3 and at that point begin to produce offspring. The lead stallion of a herd also has the direct right to breed with any mare in his herd.
  
  
• Can claim land at the age of 3+.
  
  
• No restrictions on the number of mares in a herd, but please be courteous to other members.
  
  
• May only steal mares. If a mare is stolen and has a foal then the foal MUST go with her.
  
  
• May fight whenever and for whatever reason.
  
  
• Lead stallions have the right to kick anyone out of their land for whatever reason they deem is fitting. That means if a mare disobeys him/displeases him he has the power to kick her out of his herd.
  
  
• Just because you are a stallion does not mean you have to claim a land, there are plenty of high ranking positions open, not only in the royal lands but in the herds as well.
  

M A R E S

• Mares may choose which stallion to go with when approached by numerious stallions.
  
  
• Mares may be force-bred. Following a force-breeding they are required to join the herd of the stallion which forcebred them(if the stallion desires it)
  
  
• Has the right to abandon there foal at the birthing grounds without the stallions knowledge or consent.
  
  
• Mare may fight, for any reason that they choose, with anyone they choose.
  
  
• All mares are under stallion's law.
  
  
• May only steal foals.
  

L E A D POSTITIONS

• All Leads must be active! If you have any mare or stallion who holds the title of Lead of a Herd you must post with that character twice a week.
  
  
• Both the Leads(Aphas) and Betas may make alliances for there Lands.
  
  
• Lead Stallions and Mares can be challenged
  
  
• If challenged and the Original Lead losses the New Lead cannot be challenged for 3 weeks.
  
  
• Leads must post at least two times a week. We here at understand that life does come first but if you do not have the time to post then you do not have time to be lead.
  
  
• The highest ranking Monarch can promote and demote at their leisure.
  
  
• A general set of standards should be set for each Herd, meaning a few simple cardinal rules for those who inhabit the regions. If any of those rules are broken it is up to the Lead to see that the correct punishment is taken. It can range from a simple warning to complete banishment. If you have an issue with any of these rules pm the royal leaders and then the a staff member.
  

BREEDING AND BIRTHING

• Foaling will NOT be role-played out
  
  
• Post the Sire and Dams Stats in the foaling board to receive your foal. (in the character section)
  
  
• Force breeding WILL result in a foal, and a post must be made in the Stud book that states a force breeding took place and between whom it occurred between.
  
  
• You can breed in any season, you have the choice of breeding in your stallions land as long as you make a note saying what the thread is above the very first post in that thread or in the Breeding land. Foal's born in Winter run a high risk of being still born or born with an ailment.
  
  
• GB is allowed and must, must only be done in the password protected board. Posts must be words only, No pictures. We are VERY strict on this seeing how there are some who are deeply offended, if you are caught outside of the password boards graphic breeding then there will be severe consequences.
  
  
• Twins are possible; do not ask a staff member for them. They will be given out at random.
  
  
• Please wait at least 3 days after breeding to give birth and start playing your new foal.
  
  
• Foals may age with the season or as fast as the player likes until they reach the age of 4 when they will age with the seasons like all other equines. We would like to see at least one post when the character is aged faster than the season, meaning if you went from 1 year to 4 you would need 2 posts in between describing the character at 2 and then another at 3
  

FIGHTING

• Take place in the Herd Land
  
  
• 3 attacks 1 dodge(optional)
  
  
• The Challenger sets the Rules & Bounty
  
  
• Must be 3yrs+ to Battle or Challenge
  
  
• Fights are for Land, Herd Members, and Positions
  
  
• No power playing or God-moding [results in automatic disqualification].
  
  
• You can only challenge regular herd stallions once every two weeks and Royals can only be challenged once a month.
  
  
• You win automatically if the other player doesn't respond within five days of your post.
  
  
• In fights, either may die as long both agree to it OOC.
  
  
• Once the fight is judged do not question the decision that was made UNLESS you feel the fight was judged unfairly. If that is the case then please pm an admin or another member of staff.
  

STEALING

• Is not allowed. We do not have a "stealing board" however; there is a way to unofficially steal. It has to be a plot and it has every single person in it must give there consent. So if you are the mare your herd leader and the new stallion must all OOC consent to you being stolen as well as giving your consent and each time this happens you must all give your consent again. How do you give consent? You all, individually must PM Xavier (account: darksoul)
